“Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.
— Matthew 18:19

The power of INtercessory prayer groups

The need for intercessory prayer in our churches is essential to growth and fruitfulness. And God’s deepest desire is that people come to know Him through his Son, Jesus Christ.

Our hearts become His heart and He hears our pleading as a sign of love for a specific person or situation. I am reminded of the friends who cut a hole in the roof of a house, to bring their sick friend to Jesus. They were pleading on behalf of someone they deeply loved and they totally trusted that Jesus would respond; and He did. When we intercede for our leaders, neighbors, or family members we are those friends placing the sick person right at His feet!

Not only does God hear the petitions placed before him as individual people pray in their homes or at work, but the unity that is created between a group of intercessors praying for God’s will to be done in His church, for His church, manifests His healing, provision, and protection in the here and now.

Engaging an intercessory prayer team at your church is one sure way to increase your ability to reawaken people to the light, love, healing and grace of a Father who loves them. Let us train a team for your church to help set the world ablaze with His power for His glory.

“Private prayer is like straw scattered here and there: If you set it on fire it makes a lot of little flames. But gather these straws into a bundle and light them, and you get a mighty fire, rising like a column into the sky; public prayer is like that.”
  —Saint John Vianney
